Diversity Equity and Inclusion
We believe the best way to promote diversity and inclusion is with action. Which is why we’re proud to have a 50/50 gender split in MSQ, with female leaders accounting for 55% of senior leadership roles across the group. Meanwhile 35% of our team is from a non-white background, well above the industry estimated 15.3%. And we’re committed to going further, which is why we’ve implemented a global Apprenticeship scheme to recruit candidates from groups underrepresented in the marketing industry.
The MSQ DEI Council
Our DEI Council consists of volunteer members from every agency and office across the group, and aims to ensure MSQ is a place where diversity is actively celebrated, where everyone can always be themselves, feel they belong and are able to do the right thing in their work, every day. Through five key workstreams – covering Gender, Ethnicity, Diversity of Thinking, Socio-Economic and Comms – our Council provides awareness, knowledge, language, resources and tools to connect ambition to action.
Partnerships and Support
We’re proud to work with key programmes aimed at making the industry a more positive and inclusive place. We support Marketing Debuts, #1000BlackInterns and the Movement to Work scheme. We work with diversity training specialists to provide mandatory DEI training modules. And we set aside time for every employee to deliver pro-bono work for causes that are important to them. We believe these commitments go a long way towards why our agencies have been recognised by leading workplace accreditors – we’re Committed Members of Inclusive Employers and Disability Confident, we appear in the UK’s Top 25 Companies to Work For list, and are a certified B Corp.
